Brushing Us Apart

Benjamin stood in the airport gazing at the  departures. "Ashlee, let's go to Texas and get a house down there, how about it?" He asked and looked over at the teens who were obviously uncomfortable in their new clothing having never wore anything like it before.

"I hate this." Chase snapped and looked down at his clothes. He was only in a white t shirt, baggy blue jeans, and a pair of expensive sneakers. "It's not fair! We can't we just have underwear like we did at the island."

Isa crossed her arms feeling just as uncomfortable.

Cece looked at her kids and crossed her arms. "Chase knock it off, Isa and Spencer, we're going to Georgia with Alex, and Jay."

Mason looked up abruptly. What? He had spent so much time with Spence over these past few months it couldn't just end like that.

Spencer shook her head. "No, let's go to Texas." She said quickly.

Emery scratched her head. "Dad why are we splitting up?"

Jay looked down at his daughter with a shrug. "We're not, just Ashlee and Ben are." He told her and stuck his hands in his pockets. "We're going to Georgia like Cece just said, it's more grassland there and we'll have space for horses and other animals, you'll like it. Especially Chase."

"What are horses?" Chase said slightly distracted from his clothing now and looked over at Jay now interested. "Are the animals like the ones back at the island?"

Cece looked at Spencer and sighed. "No." She said sternly. As their plane was called she began to walk over to the area where they boarded.

Isa tagged along after her mother quickly.

Alex joined them making sure the kids were ahead of him so no one was left behind.

Mason lowered his head. "Spencer..."

Jordan slipped her hand inside Chase's as they walked.

Spencer looked back at Mason as she was forced to walk away, quickly she ran back over to him and kissed his cheek.

Emery sighed and walked towards the plane.

"C'mon Mas." Ashlee said gently.

Mason slowly kissed her on the lips affectionately before letting her go and stalking off to join his parents sadly.

Chase blinked in surprise as she had taken his hand  but slowly squeezed it and went onto the plane taking his seat near the window and pulled her in close to him.


Benjamin looked down at Mason oddly. "You'll find yourself a chick in Texas." He reassured him.

Ashlee pinched Ben roughly.

Spencer walked with her head low, taking her own window seat she sat quietly and stared out the window.

Jordan cuddled in against him.

When they had arrived  Cece walked over and rented a bus for them to get home. Once she got everybody in, it was a two hour drive to get to the houses they had talked to real estate about, all three homes farmland. She hopped off and looked at her kids. "Come on go see the new house and go pick your rooms."

Isa quickly darted off to the house her mother pointed out.

Chase scratched his head and walked over to the house after Isa.

Jay got  out of the bus and made his way over to his own house and pointed it out to the kids. "Alright you guys go to."

Spencer walked out with her head down and slowly made her way towards the house.

Jordan ran to the house and immediately scouted out a room she'd be able to sneak out of easily, size didn't really matter to her.

Since everyone had gotten settled in, new attitudes were picking up. It had only been a year since their arrival and they were all still as close as ever. Isa  walked outside and eyed Chase as he sat on  a horse shirtless. "What are you doing?"

"What?" Chase grunting stopping the horse to glance over at Isa. "I'm riding a horse. We're on school vacation I can do this whenever I want."

Nathan ran over and into Spencer's room. "Hey Spence." He greeted.

Spencer grunted and walked past Nathan, going out to ride her own horse.

Jordan followed Isa to Chase. "You wanna teach me how to ride one of those?"

Chase looked over at Jordan and slowly got off his horse. He held the horse put. "Jump the fence and come here." He told her. 

Nathan jumped in front of her. "Hold on." He said quickly. "I want to race you. If I win..." He was extremely confident with his horse who he had named Nike. He was a natural racing stallion.

Isa watched with crossed arms.

"If you when, what?" Spencer huffed and crossed her arms, her own horse wasn't considered a racing horse, but it was fairly quick.

Jordan jumped the fence and walked over to him.

"Put your foot there. Your left one then through your right over it's back. Look Dusk doesn't like a lot of people." Chase warned and put a hand on his face to settle him down.

"You'll come out with me tonight." Nathan said with a quick grin.

Jordan did as she was told. "Well then, come up her with me."

"Why?" Spencer asked and glanced out towards her own horse.

Chase got up behind her and slowly grabbed onto the lines and put them in her hands  and held onto them as well. He gave it a small tug and watched as he began to trot. 

"Because you're beautiful and smart."  Nathan told her with a grin. "Let's do this."

"Do you use that line on every girl?" Spencer huffed and rolled her eyes. "Fine, whatever." She muttered and walked out to her own horse and patted his back. "Alright, let's go." She said, not bothering to put a saddle on her horses back as she jumped up onto him.

Jordan grinned. "Hey this is cool, maybe I should get one."

"Oh so we're going all natural?"  Nathan asked and ran off to return with his dark brown arabian stallion. "His name is Mud." He said and winked over at her. "Let's go." He said and shouted something so that Snickers had sped off.

"I can take you there." Chase said and moved in front of her to have Dusk trot her house. "Get some money from your dad."

"Yeah, well Petra here could beat your Arabian in a beauty pageant any day." Spencer scoffed and squeezed her horses middle, clicking her tongue to get him to bolt into action.

Jordan held onto his waist tightly. "Think he'll let me?"

Nathan leaned forward to try and balance his weight to make Mud go faster. "Come on Mud you can do it bud!" He chanted and looked back at Spence. "Wear something nice to tonight."

"Buy a horse? Why not? It's better for us to just have sex all day." Chase grinned and stopped in front of her house.

Jordan slid off the horse and ran in to find her dad.

Spencer rolled her eyes and squeezed him a bit tighter to get him to speed up, going right past Nathan.

Alex laid on the bed naked with a beer in his hand having just finished with Jacki. He had been more than happy to be here now.

As a log came into sight,  he quickly told Mud to jump and  slapped his back lightly to make him speed up.

Spencer groaned as Petra stopped and refused to jump over the log. "Pet, come on."

Jordan knocked on the door to her parents room. "Daddy, can I have a horse?"

Alex slowly put on his boxers and opened the door to look at Jordan. "Now what do you want a horse for? You barely like going outside besides when it's with that boy?" He said ready to give up the money if it meant her getting out.

Nathan finally made it to the edge of the woods and stopped declaring his victory.

Spencer groaned and buried her face in Petra's mane.

"Because Chase let me ride his horse and it was really fun...so I want one." Jordan shrugged.

Alex walked away and grabbed some money from his wallet and gave it to her. "There that should be enough for a nice healthy horse." He said and nodded.

Nathan had Mud trot back up to Spencer and stopped him beside her. "Are you okay?" He asked softly.
