"Dad!" Thomas had darted over to his father's car as he had parked and gave him dabs.
Griffin rubbed his head. "Tommy." He greeted and rubbed his eleven year old's head affectionately. "I hope you're playing fair." He told him and grabbed the basketball from his hands and threw it over to Benjamin who quickly tossed it through the hoop. The group of boys, Presley Dustin, Alex, Benjamin, Jay, Jasper, Seth and Tyrese were often outside
"I told you Tyrese sucks at basketball, Jasper." Benjamin  stated annoyed with his brother as he had hopped in front of the boy to claim the ball before he could, and began to dribbled around attempting to avoid him.
Griffin shook his head and watched his son dart over back to the other boys and headed over to the house where fifteen year old Kitty was sitting with her ipod blasting beside her sister Dawn while doing her nails. "Did mom make you two hang out together again?" He asked as he made his way inside.
"Hi daddy." Kitty greeted then shook her head. "No, we were bored." She admitted. "And worrying about finding a boyfriend." She smirked knowing how much that bothered her father.
"You wish." Griffin said and grabbed both of their phones checking through  the contacts. "I want those boys deleted both of you." He said and smacked both their heads lightly before heading inside. "And remember, I don't want you guys hanging around Alex or Jay alone." He warned and walked over to Jane and kissed her head. "Hey baby." He greeted and sat beside her.

Tyrese glared at his brother then grabbed the ball and threw it at his head. "Shut up faggot!" He said and punched him in the stomach.
Benjamin put his younger brother in  head lock. "I'm going to kick your ass kid."

Jacki nodded cautiously.

"Why did you leave?" Elliot piped up quickly.

"Do you have a better idea?" Cedar wondered. "No sarcasm at the least, I'm sure he's just trying to see if there's anything ahead liked a stray car we would notice before hand since the high beams aren't as bright as this one light? Wanna test your eye vision?" He grinned and lifted the light.

Miles chuckled and glanced at Ryder.

"You know that's my work, both of you." Percy began gently. "If I didn't think you guys were brave enough I wouldn't have left you alone but its the fact that you are." He reassured them. "Besides if daddy hadn't caught up where would you guys have been headed?"

"No it's just, the sand is too thick for anyone to notice it unless they're literally next to it," Ryder explained and winced as the light was pointed at her. "It's like shining the light into a brick wall. We won't know if we're too close to another car or building before it's too late."

"Why didn't you come get us in the helicopter you came in?" Jacki asked, tilting her head to the side. "It would have gotten us away much faster."

Cedar leaned back with crossed arms. "Again, any suggestions? That doesn't involve retreating to a safe haven since that's out of the question."

Miles looked out the window. "It's gotten really back the wind is burying the road in sand now Percy could lose sight of it. Or Aria."

"If that were the case I would have done it but the company would have never allowed me to save so many of the family." Percy tried to explain. "I'd rather sneak us on as a family, than get the free pass like other cold hearted people."

"I mean there's not much to do but stay off the road until it stops," Ryder told him and shrugged. "If we start having to drive on sand, there will be barely any traction between the tires and the sand and we could just as easily be upside down."

"That's dumb." Elliot shrugged.

"Sometimes fighting for the easy way out is the best decision though." Jacki shrugged.

"I never taught you two to be selfish and think of your own lives before others." Percy told them immediately. "I'm disappointed."

"You try and explain that to Percy." Miles suggested as Cedar simply shrugged.

Tyrese ran over and began to punch his father while grinning. "Dad!"

Cedar grunted. "Come on man, I'm working. Mia." He called to her.

Ryder turned and looked at Percy who was conversing with his kids. "I'd rather not."

"Aren't you being selfish by not telling anyone else about this and only saving the people closest to you?" Jacki shot back. "We are all a little selfish dad, it's the way of life. If we weren't the world would be chaos."

Mia rolled her eyes. "Ty! Get over here and leave your father alone."

"Do you think it was my decision to keep my mouth shut?" Percy asked his daughter calmly. "If I'd shared one word government officials would have killed me and covered it with an accident. It was either I kept my mouth shut, and saved my family or die and risk your lives." He stood up. "You probably won't understand and I don't expect you too but at the least be grateful you're heart is still beating and not dead by the tsunami that took over our home." With that he walked over back to Aria and leaned against the seat with crossed arms.

Miles eavesdropped on the conversation. "Kids can be ungrateful huh?" He pointed out.

Tyrese continued on punching his father up.
Cedar sat with a poker face. "Tyrese knock it off." He grumbled.

Ryder shrugged, "They're just kids. I don't think they understand how the world works just yet."

"I'mm not ungrateful dad, I just don't think you are thinking the same as we are." Jacki mumbled and turned her gaze out the window.

"There's nothing much I can do about this point." Percy admitted to Aria. "They're not accepting whatever I've said."

"You're right." Miles added in.

"That's it I'm gonna kill 'em." Cedar said and put his son in a choke hold on the floor.

Ryder grinned and tap-kissed him. "I know," she said matter-of-factly.

Miles smirked at her then looked down at Cedar. "If you kill him, Mia's going to kill you, I don't know if you know my sister by now but she baby's her boys."

"They aren't mad Percy, just confused is all." Aria reassured him.

Percy rubbed her back gently. "I'll take your word."

"Mom!" Tyrese squealed and kicked his feet.

"Tyrese stop being a brat." Mia growled and walked over to take him by the arm and set him in the back.

Tyrese huffed and sat in the seat beside his mother and began to pout and make random noises.

Mia rolled her eyes and walked back to her seat.

"I don't want to talk about it." Cora muttered, her eyes watering.

Jay looked away unsure what to say at this point. "If it helps I would've chopped their dicks off given the chance." He sighed.

Avril sat beside Mia holding the sleeping Keith. "We were inseparable when we were little." She pointed out looking at her with a small smirk.

Dawn sat by herself and pulled her legs up to her chest, feeling slightly nauseous as the bus ride became bumpy.

Mia shook her head, she really didn't remember much from her childhood.

"Teens I should say more, remember all the trouble? Since we were basically the outcasts." Avril told her with a small grin.

Kitty slid in beside her sister wondering if she had been feeling better. "Hi Dawn." She greeted. She blinked as the bus had begun to tremor from the quakes.
